  • Dr. Sanjay Pandey did his neurology residency in India and then completed a one-year movement disorder fellowship at National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Maryland, under Mark Hallett. Since then, he has developed a Parkinson disease and movement disorders center at Govind Ballabh Pant Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (GIPMER), University of Delhi, India. This center also provides training and research opportunities to Neurology residents and research scholars. Dr. Pandey has completed many research projects at GIPMER, including tremor in dystonia, functional movement disorders, post-stroke movement disorders, drug-induced movement disorders, sensory trick in dystonia, botulinum toxin in movement disorders, cognitive profile of early-onset Parkinson’s disease, and genotype-phenotype correlation in parkin mutation patients. Currently. he is involved in many clinical and genetic research projects with major focus on dystonic tremor patients. He has been included in tremor and functional movement disorder study groups of IPMDS. He is an executive committee member of MDS-AOS and Movement Disorder Society of India and Associate Editor of Annals of Movement Disorder Journal.
